Quintessential Post

In class, we were asked to do a quintessential post of our choice. Before this class, I didn't even know what the exact meaning of quintessential was! The exact definition is "the most perfect embodiment of something". The definition we went with in class was "something that has the it factor, or the x factor". When you actually give the topic a thought, it's really intriguing to think about the it factor. What makes something quintessential? I personally think that you can't exactly pinpoint the x factor. When it's there, it's there, and there will be no need for a further explantion.
My quintessential thing is sort of weird, but I'll give it a try. =())

The Quintessential Bleach: CLOROX

When you gotta get rid of those stains, which bleach instantly comes to mind? That's right, clorox. Clorox is the quintessential bleach. It has become a household name in America. It doesn't only clean clothes, it can even clean the bathtub! The many uses of clorox are truly astounding. Not suprisingly, clorox has even become a verb in some cases. "Spilled the grape juice on your brand new shirt? Just clorox it!" And to think, there are still more clorox products out there. How can the "clorox bleach pen" be ignored? You can clorox, and you can clorox the exacts spots that you want to clorox!!! Plus, it kills 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and mold. And, it comes in different scents, like fresh meadow and mountain fresh.
What makes clorox the quintessential bleach? I think that we can agree that most people immediately associate clorox with bleach. I mean, it just feels natural. Would you immediately think of "White King"? I don't think so.

With all these uses, clorox, in my opinion is the quintessential bleach. Now would you excuse me, I have to go and "clorox" my clothes.
